I don't know about you, but whenever I'm pregnant, I end up reading almost every birth story, pregnancy blog, video blog craziness out there. I look at all the belly bump photos and read all the stories about peeing on sticks, telling their boss and surprising their other children in terrible ways with the news of a sibling. Once I decided I was going to submit and join the masses of preggo bloggers out there, I started to pay attention to the content that I actually wanted to share on my own site. So, if you're following along and you want more or less stuff, send me an email. (Use the Contact Me tab. Look up.)
So...here we go.

How Far Along Am I?
Today I'm 12 weeks and 5 days. Or...12w5d for all you ttc'rs and fam'rs out there.
Baby is the Size Of:
A lime!
About 2 inches and weighs .5 ounces!
But not THIS lime. That's crazy.
Maternity Clothes?
Oh, off and on. I was in maternity pants full-time until this last week. My constant nausea and vomiting has caused me to drop so much weight that my maternity pants no longer fit. And my large ta-tas and still-small bump have kept me out of maternity tops for now.
Stretch Marks?
Just the old ones. I'd better not get news ones this time! I started out fat enough to house a baby with room to spare!
Sleep?
I have a HORRIBLE time trying to actually fall asleep. But when I do, I'm certain to wake up at least 2 times to pee. Because pregnancy sleep is the best thing ever. -said no pregnant woman in history
Best Moment of This Week?
Feeling the little flutters of life in there! I can't believe it, but I'm already feeling the Noodle!
Miss Anything?
COLD BEER. It's been warming up here and there are have several moments when an ice cold beer would've really made my day.
And sleep.
And running. Oh goodness, how I miss running. :(
Movement?
Yes! Early, but exciting!
Food Cravings?
Only cold cereal and ice cream. Every now and then, I want a pickle. Oh...and green olives. I ate an entire jar the other day.
Food Aversions?
Only EVERYTHING. I swear, it's an outright battle to make food stay inside me. And everything makes me nauseous.
Have I Started to Show?
Oh yes. From about 8 weeks. But it's a bit smaller this week. :(
Gender?
Human. We won't be finding this out.
Labor Signs?
No, that'd be crazy this early. But I have had a couple Braxton-Hicks already. Just like with my other pregnancies.
Belly Button In or Out?
It's in. And it had better stay that way. Outties freak me out a little!
Wedding Rings On or Off?
Uh...well...my ENGAGEMENT ring is still on. Tee hee.
Happy or Moody?
I'm beyond moody. And emotional! One minute I'm crying, then I'm pissed off, then I'm laughing at something stupid. It's a fun ride, truly. Aren't you jealous you can't come along?!
Looking Forward To:
Hearing the heartbeat for the first time on 7/2!
Some other things to note? Zofran tastes like strawberry chalk flavored death. I hate the stuff. And to make matters worse, it did nothing for my nausea. It did, however, give me a headache. Yay! I know it is a lifesaver to a ton of women out there and I am extremely jealous, believe me. This all-day nausea is about the make me even more nuts.
I reckon I'll answer these same questions every week and update y'all with a new belly bump pic, since we're at that point. I wish I was a bit more creative and could do those cool photojournal-y type updates with photoshop genius, but I just don't have time to learn all that black magic. So you get what I got.
In the meantime, I'll leave you with a few closing happinesses...
* That moment when the doctor turned the screen so we could see the ultrasound and I could hear Mister take an audible deep breath beside me. Yep, that's a good moment.
* When the Noodle did a little wiggle on the screen, all grainy and alien looking, and Mister squeezed my hand and audibly gasped beside me. Oh my, that's a keeper!
*And that freeing, completely beautiful feeling of roomy maternity jeans, lots of curves, and you know that no one is going to judge you poorly. You've become beautiful. No more sucking it in, no more scales, no more wondering if you look fat... Yes, ladies and gentlemen, for someone who struggles with their weight like I do, that feeling is almost my favorite. I am free to be the shape God made me. There'd be less school age hatred, less depression and less bitterness in this world if everyone got a chance to feel that wonderously, joyously free.
See ya next week!
